How can MSConfig be used to force the computer to start into VGA mode?

1. Open System Configuration.
   • From the Windows Vista default Start menu, in the Start Search box, type: msconfig, and then press the ENTER key.
   • In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
   • The System Configuration window opens.

2. In the System Configuration window, click the Boot tab.

3. On the Boot tab, in the Boot Options area, verify that the Base video check box is selected, and then click OK.

4. In the System Configuration window, to start the computer in Safe mode, click Restart.
