Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool From the Windows Vista Backup Media

To start the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool from the Windows Vista backup media, use the following steps.

1. Start the computer to the Windows Vista backup media.

2. On the Press any key... screen, press and hold the SPACEBAR for a few seconds.

3. On the Windows Boot Manager screen, press the TAB key to select Windows Memory Diagnostic, and then press the ENTER key.

4. The computer launches the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool.

5. For additional testing options, press the F1 key.
