Q: How do I open Device Manager in Windows Vista?

A: Use the following steps to open Device Manager.

1. Open Control Panel.
   • From the Microsoft Windows Vista default Start menu, click Control Panel.
   • From the classic Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. In Control Panel, open System.
   • If in Control Panel Home, double-click System and Maintenance.
   • If in Classic view, double-click the System icon.

3. In the View basic information about your computer window, under Tasks on the left hand pane, click Device Manager.

4. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

5. Device Manager opens.
